Acting Coaching

I have experience working with professional actors as a director and casting shows, therefore I understand what is required of an actor in the audition room in order to make an impression. I have also worked with young performers through the National Theatre as part of their Connections Festival and with The British Theatre Academy as a director.

I offer professional acting coaching for actors of any age or level, this could be for a school drama presentation, preparing to apply for stage/drama school, or a professional audition. I will take a focus on three main areas; vocal work, character and text analysis using a variety of techniques which best suit that individual's needs.

My individual coaching sessions usually last 1 hour (this is of course flexible) and I can either travel to you or organise a convenient location for both of us. Younger performers (Under 16s) may prefer to work in a group session (sometimes the best learning for young performers is watching each other) for which I can negotiate and cater for.

My sessions are actor led for more advanced performers or those who have specific needs for which you will pick what you want to use our time to focus on and cater best for your needs at that stage of your development.

Specialist Areas Include:

Understanding and Building a Character

Stanislavski Techniques

'Actioning' Text

Choosing and Approaching a Monologue

Text Analysis

Uniting and Working Through a Script

The cost of these coaching sessions is very competitive and depends on the aims of the sessions and the background of the individual.
